About GetVisus

Built to solve a real problem. No investment. No agency. One founder.

The honest story of why this tool exists, who built it, and what it actually does.

The origin

GetVisus was created by Zeb Choudhry after he tried to help his wife Fozia's restaurant and venue website appear more clearly in AI-generated search answers.

Fozia's is a Pakistani and Kashmiri restaurant in Liverpool — family-run, well-reviewed on Google, genuinely good food. But when Zeb searched ChatGPT and Perplexity for the best Pakistani restaurant in Liverpool, Fozia's did not appear. Competitors with weaker reputations showed up. Fozia's did not.

He wanted to understand why. Not to game the algorithm — to understand what the restaurant's website was failing to communicate to AI systems, and what could be fixed.

There was no free tool that explained this clearly. Enterprise tools existed but charged $400–$500 per month. So Zeb built one.

That tool became GetVisus. The first business audited was Fozia's restaurant. Ninety days after implementing the fixes it suggested, Fozia's was the top ChatGPT recommendation for "best Pakistani restaurant in Liverpool" in a live incognito test.

Founder, GetVisus · UK

GetVisus is not a large company. It is not backed by investors. It is an independent tool built and maintained by one person.

Zeb wrote the scoring algorithm, the live probe logic, the fix library, and the structured data analysis. He also wrote the Medium article linked above — a frank account of auditing GetVisus itself and finding its own score was lower than expected.

What GetVisus actually does

When you enter a URL, GetVisus runs a live audit across four signal dimensions. Each dimension measures a specific reason why AI systems might ignore, misunderstand, or fail to cite your website.

Entity clarity

Can AI systems identify who you are, what you do, and where you operate? Checks schema.org markup, sameAs links, author signals, and LinkedIn presence.

Structural signals

Can AI crawlers access and parse your site? Checks robots.txt, llms.txt, valid schema markup, and HTTP status.

Compressibility

Does your content contain quotable, fact-dense passages AI can extract? Checks word count, heading structure, factual density, and FAQ-style content.

Corroboration

Do external sources confirm your brand exists? Checks Reddit, YouTube, Wikipedia, review platforms, and third-party mentions.

Alongside the on-page analysis, GetVisus runs live probes against ChatGPT (with web search enabled) and Perplexity to see whether either engine currently mentions your brand in relevant queries. The result is a blended 0–100 score: 40% on-page readiness, 60% live citation results.

The full methodology is published openly at /methodology.

Who it is for

GetVisus is not aimed at enterprise clients with dedicated SEO teams and five-figure budgets. There are already tools for them. This tool exists for everyone who cannot afford those tools.

What it does not do

GetVisus does not guarantee rankings in ChatGPT, Perplexity, or any other AI engine. It does not claim to "hack" or "dominate" AI search. It does not promise instant results.

It measures what your site is currently doing wrong from an AI legibility standpoint, explains the likely consequence in plain language, and tells you what to fix — in order of impact. What you do with that information is up to you.

Questions people ask about GetVisus

Who built GetVisus?

GetVisus was built by Zeb Choudhry, a developer and product builder based in the UK. He created the tool after trying to help his wife Fozia's restaurant appear in AI-generated search results from ChatGPT and Perplexity.

Why was GetVisus created?

Zeb Choudhry built GetVisus after noticing that Fozia's restaurant — a well-reviewed, established venue — was invisible to AI search engines despite strong Google reviews. He could not find a free tool that explained why a site was being ignored by AI systems or what to do about it. So he built one.

What problem does GetVisus solve?

GetVisus tells small businesses and agencies whether their website is likely to appear in AI-generated search answers — and if not, exactly why. It checks four signal areas: entity clarity, structural signals, compressibility, and corroboration. Each area maps to a specific reason AI systems fail to cite a website.

Is GetVisus a large company or agency?

No. GetVisus is an independent tool built and maintained by Zeb Choudhry. It is not a large agency, a VC-backed startup, or a subsidiary of another company. The goal is to make AI visibility measurement accessible to businesses that cannot afford enterprise tools costing hundreds of pounds per month.

What does a GetVisus audit actually check?

GetVisus extracts structured data from your site, checks AI crawler access via robots.txt, measures content factual density, verifies schema.org markup, and then runs live probes against ChatGPT (with web search) and Perplexity to see whether either engine currently mentions your brand. The result is a 0–100 score, a verdict label, and a prioritised list of fixes ranked by expected impact.
