A competitor mention is when an AI answer names another business in your category while omitting your brand.

Why it matters

It proves the assistant understood the topic but chose other entities—often a positioning or clarity problem on your site.

Visus stores competitors_mentioned per query; Track shows insight when mention rate is 0% but competitors appear.

Example

“It mentioned: Other Plumber Co, QuickFix Ltd.” with 0% mention rate means you should open fixes, not abandon tracking.
