Answer alignment (matches your site)

Answer alignment (shown as “matches your site” in Visus) is whether a sampled AI answer is consistent with evidence extracted from your page—not whether it sounds positive.

Why it matters

Wrong facts in AI answers can damage trust more than silence. Alignment highlights contradictions you can fix on-site.

How Visus measures it

When enabled, Visus compares scraped page evidence to the provider answer using an NLI-style check, labeling aligned, unclear, contradicts, or skipped if the service is unavailable.

Example

Your page says Mon–Fri 9–5 but the AI answer says “open 24/7”—that may be flagged as contradicts.

Common misconception

Skipped site-matching does not mean the citation check failed; mention and citation data may still be saved.
